1. There is a built in FTP client in the shell if you know command line. Otherwise I have never seen a GUI FTP client built in to OS X. I use Captain FTP. It is the best GUI FTP client I could find for the mac. Basically because it has w directory listings at once, the local and the remote.

Fugu is a graphical frontend for the text-based Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) client that ships with Mac OS X. Now, long ago we'd call Transmit an 'FTP client', but today, with Transmit 5, we connect to lots of different server types and cloud services. For example, Amazon S3 dramatically changed the way files are served on the internet, and Transmit is a great way to manage your Amazon S3 buckets.
